Heart of Henderson Mission

It is our mission to protect the health, assets and quality of life of the residents in Henderson as well as the environment and natural resources. We are a group of concerned Henderson property owners whose mission is to inform our friends, family and neighbors in Henderson about the tremendous impacts an industrial utility scale wind project will bring to our area.

  1. Been working at stopping Galloo, and the other four projects along the shore of lake Ontario and TI. The subsidies are crazy, the efficiency is too low, and the taxbase erosion is predictable. Now we juts have to get the itelligent folks in DC and Albany to listen.

  2. Some of us are are a tiny bit slow to get the hang of the BLOG, but we're hoping to be up to speed soon. Kudos to the Town Board for approving the Citizens' Committee UNANIMOUSLY!! It will sure be interesting to see what happens with the vacant Councilman seat. The only right thing to do is to appoint the runner UP! :->

  5. Today was a difficult day for the people of Henderson and beyond. The six-month extension request to the DEC was denied and the Final Environmental Impact Statement was released by the DEC. We will have to work quickly and vigorously to keep the people of Jefferson County and specifically those in Henderson Hounsfield from having the scourge of Big Wind upon us.
We have to write our Jefferson County Legislator, Barry Ormsby and demand that the PILOT project be rejected! Barry Ormsby 8141 Swan Road Adams, NY 13605, 846-5615.

  7. Why was George Aubin voted into office? He has no phone, does not own property, about all he can do is vote the way he is told to vote. Nice job voters of henderson.

  8. From what I can tell, he was promoted as the Republican candidate, and got enough votes! David Perry campaigned for open, honest government, going by the rules and is against commercial wind. He is a property owner, pays taxes and is accessible to everyone. Go figure!
